1860’s Vintage Victorian CDV Photo:

On reverse: ‘Great Uncle Arnold Salisbury, lived at Trimtown Corner, I Think married Grandmother Kimball’s sister F.E.S.’ is handwritten. Photo Type: CDV Carte de Visite Photograph. Date: 1860’s. Civil War era. Photographer: A.F. Salisbury (most likely a relative), Cor. Main and Mill St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Providence County.

Census records: We believe this may be Arnold Salisbury (b. abt 1797 in RI) married to Charlotte Kimball (born Feb. 4 1802 in RI) on 18 May 1826. He was living in Scituate, Providence, RI in 1850.

Note: Trimtown Road is in Scituate, RI, also in Providence County. The gentleman in the photo has a very white beard and dark hair, large book in hand, which signifies literacy. Found in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, MA.
