‘Presented to Nellie Brown, by Mary Tuttle, Teacher’ handwritten in old dip pen ink. Type of Item: Victorian Reward of Merit Card. Date: circa 1820-40’s. Found in Upstate New York, NY in Wayne County.

This is a beautfiul and early Reward of Merit with light purple inks, some light staining. Nellie may be a nickname for Cornelia, Eleanor, Nelda, Helen, Helene.
